ALM Legal Intelligence, provided by the Office of Career Services, is accessed through LawWeb on the Student Services tab (for students) or Library tab (for faculty).

ALM Legal Intelligence is currently accessible off-Grounds only through the University's VPN service. We recommend that you use an "in cognito" or "in private" browser session when using the service.

"In cognito" / "in private" browsing: How you open a private browsing session depends on which browser you're using. With Chrome or Firefox, right-click the ALM link in LawWeb and open in an "incognito" or "private window." If you don't see those options, right-click and copy the link, open a new "private" tab using the method described below for your browser, close your original browsing session, paste the link in the browser's address box, and <enter>.

Browser shortcuts for opening a "private" browsing window:

Browser Command
("Incognito" mode)
Safari Cmd-Shift-N (Yosemite+);
Safari > Private Browsing (earlier)
Firefox Ctrl[/Cmd]-Shift-P
Internet Explorer Ctrl-Shift-P
Opera Ctrl[/Cmd]-Shift-N
SmartPhone or Tablet Varies -- check documentation for your device and browser

I'm using a private browser session but I still can't get in. Once you log in to LawWeb using the NetBadge service, you will not need an additional user id and password to access ALM. If you're prompted for a user id and password on the ALM site, you're probably experiencing a "cookie conflict" with your browser. In such a case, ALM recommends that you clear all of the cookies and history in your browser, close your browser, and open a new private browsing session. If you don't want to clear all of your cookies, you can clear just those you may have for any websites owned by ALM. These are listed in the table below. Mac users also need to be sure that passwords for these sites are deleted from Keychain (Applications > Keychain Access).
